In an Intersteallar Burst....
....I am back to save the universe. Well, not literally, but I am back to write an article after a long hiatus. The reason for my abscence? Nothing more than a lack of inspiration. I was reading the latest article update, and I felt compelled to write. I'm not sure where this will go, but come with me for a journey into my mind, or wherever you would like to go. I have some time on my hands.
I am reading RaSeb's latest article, in which he discusses what makes a good article. He mentions originality, which is something I think is very important. I will take the example he gave, and explain my stance on Ness's dad. I don't think Ness has a father. It is my belif that Ness was a genetically created project to test PSI. You only talk to Ness's "dad" over the phone. However, you are not really talking to a person. It is an AI program that uses Ness's own expectations to manifest itself. It is actually apart of a larger system, GW, which is........Wait, I am thinking of a different game.............
I have just finished reading Sephy's article, and let me tell you, if I need something to break the silence, I will tell them about how I beat the Lost Levels. EarthBound? Pssh, I don't want them to think I am a nerd or anything. (I am joking, so don't send me hate mail. If you had read Sephy's article, you would have known that. So go read it, and if you still can't tell that I am joking, you really shouldn't be operating a computer by yourself in the first place.)
Giampi writes concerning Mother 3 and the debate over keeping the same characters. This really doesn't concern me since I don't see how this can possibly affect the game. (If it's good, it's good.) In my experience, direct sequels are almost never as good as the original story-wise. But don't take my word for it. Play MGS2 and you'll see what I am talking about. However, if it just characters for the sake of nostaliga(NPCs, ect.), then I don't see the problem. But George Bush tells me that you can't please everyone.
This week, Mike gave out some non-existant awards to some very existing writers. Seeing that I won nothing motivated me to get off my butt and start writing again. (RaSeb was right about narcissists.) Of course, that doesn't mean I will anything, which I have no problem with because I really don't deserve it. Let's face it, I am not very original. Most of my articles are just filler and my thoughts on other articles. However, it gives me something to do, and by chance it might give someone a smile. If it turns out that nobody even reads my articles, I will continue to write them for my own satisfaction.
Well, my mind is drawing a blank, so I will end this now and maybe go read some.
Good day.
